Court Resurfacing is Complete!
October 29, 2019Dear Petanque Family,
You are truly la crème de la crème!
Last Thursday at 4pm, Joe P. and I welcomed the delivery of one ton of screenings material. By Saturday at 1pm, we were playing pétanque on a beautiful new surface. Our pétanque court looks great, and the balls are rolling true once again. Many thanks to all of you who filled the wheelbarrows and raked (and raked... and raked). You did a superb job, and with your help we got the job done in no time!
We also owe a very big thank you to Joanne Yacko and her beloved Mom, Marge Brokner, who passed away in 2016. Marge, a long time New Suffolk resident, had left a gift in her will for the New Suffolk Civic Association, and Joanne decided that using the money to repair our pétanque court would be in the spirit of what she had intended. Marge loved the New Suffolk community and would be happy to see us having fun and bringing life to our beautiful ball field.
The NSCA is committed to help with the maintenance of our ball field, which is vital to all of us. The New Suffolk United Pétanque Club is a big part of our community and I thank you for your continuous support. The maintenance and repair of our ball field and pétanque court is always ongoing, requires contributions to keep up. If you would like to contribute to our fund, make your check payable to the New Suffolk Civic Association, and either mail or give it to Michelle Roussan (PO BOX 245).
THANK YOU AGAIN for your friendship, your generosity and your passion for the game!
My love to all,
Michelle
